but the HD-300's are really just flat amazing. I can't believe you have an old Sage system like that! I got into Sage in 2007 and used to have actual PC's as clients so I've struggled with adjust DirectShow filters, used "GraphEdit" etc.

My TMPGE software collection excluding Pegasys SpursEngine and Dolby plugins
Is it the best of them? I would say it all depends on what your intended purpose it for buying them. My point in all of this is that smart rendering trimmers have been around for literally -YEARS- for AVCHD, and TMPGE Smart Render, released only a couple weeks ago, is yet another one. I have used them since they were originally introduced, and know them very well. (It also speeds up my Edius AVCHD booster). I share your preference for TMPGE software in general, and not coincidentally own all of their products as well as as a SpursEngine hardware accelerator board installed in this video editing PC specifically purchased to accelerate the 3 TMPGE products which support it. I'll stick with TMPEnc Mpeg editor thanks! But either way Cyberlink completely re-encodes the 1080p60 even though there's a H.264 built-in profile for it. I haven't tested playing them back on Sage yet perhaps they are ok. The 1080p60 I get directly out of the camera, or out of Sony Vegas 10, or TMPEnc seem to play back smoother for me.
